Matthew Messere

Matthew is a designer with experience in historic preservation, conservation, and publication design. He currently focuses on construction administration efforts for ongoing projects within the office, including multiple Boston City Hall office renovations, field renovations at UMASS Boston, and new construction work in Cairo, Egypt. Prior to OverUnder, Matthew worked on materials science research and construction administration efforts for multiple large-scale historic preservation projects in Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Matthew received his Master of Architecture degree with distinction from Wentworth Institute of Technology where he was also awarded the AIA Henry Adams medal. His academic research focuses on analog representation methods and their effects on perceptions of truth. Beyond professional practice, Matthew is an adjunct professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology where he engages first-year students with analog and digital representation methods in a series of discovery courses.
